VOICE OVER
Carla Jamie Perez has spent her life developing and using her voice in as many ways as possible. She became hooked on Voice Over some 20 years ago when she began being frequently hired to provide voicing for film soundtracks. Always completely committed to exploring the versatility of her voice, she began training with renowned Voice Over actor and coach, Nick Omana. With the encouragement of Nick, and a couple other heavy hitters, Susan Blu and Cynthia Songe, she started out in commercials, which at that time was about all a girl could hope for.
These days the sky is the limit…or almost, and Carla is available for Commercial, Promotional and Narration VO work. Her voice is described as all and any of the following: confident, instructional, authoritative, engaging, warm, easy, sexy, funny, intelligent, real and reassuring. She is at ease with little words and big fancy ones too, e.g., medical, scientific and industrial terminology. As a classical singer she has sung in 16 different languages, is very familiar with names and terminology in all the classical arts and has a great ear for accents or ethnic flavoring. She’s a quick study who is fast, reliable, affordable and easy to work with whether it’s 2 pages or 52 pages, serious or light-hearted and requires one voice or a choir of voices (yes, she has voiced entire choirs for film).
An added bonus …she sings, she acts and SHE WRITES!! Carla has experience with script writing, promo tagline, comedy sketch, songwriting and jingle writing.
